Treatments include facial aesthetics (wrinkle reduction), weight loss, mole/skin tag removal.
Are you aware of all the options for reducing wrinkles? Most people have heard of Botox, the product produced by Allergan, Inc. But did you know there are others that may work as well or better in some people? We also use (and our patients like) Xeomin (pronounced Zee-o-men), which also works very quickly, and lasts just as long. It is from Merz, a European pharmaceutical company. Another option is Jeuveau, the newest product to come from Evolus.
Regardless of your choice of product, it is administered just under the skin with a very fine needle. It leaves a "bee-sting" like bump for a few hours. The wrinkles (forehead, crow's feet, etc.) begin to lessen in a few days to a week or more. The effect lasts for six to nine months, usually.
Prices vary depending on the product, but will be somewhere around $12.00/unit to $14.00/unit. Most people prefer about 35 units on the initial visit.
Dermal fillers are used to plump out deeper wrinkles, such as those between the nostrils and lips (the nasolabial fold). Dermal fillers are also used to plump out the lips, providing a fuller look.
There are several options, but we will only use those that are made from hyaluronic acid, which exists in your skin naturally. The effect lasts for six to nine months, although the effect is immediate.
Our price is lower than most, at only $600.00 per syringe!
Most skin tags can be removed quickly and nearly painlessly. Unless you prefer not, we will first numb the area of the skin tag then remove it. Easy!
Moles must first be evaluated to be sure it isn't a form of skin cancer (which only a dermatologist can safely remove).
It may seem that the use of neurotoxins like Xeomin, Jeuveau, and Botox, and dermal fillers such as Versa from Ravanesse, or Belotero from Merz is beyond our typical practice. Afterall, we are not a medspa.
In fact, Dr. Selvey was first trained in these treatments when he was involved in the clinical research of these products over 15 years ago. Of course, he keeps current with continuing medical education.
